Description

Elegant and indulgent brownie tarts that combine rich, fudgy texture with a buttery crust. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly, then add the cold water and form a dough. Press the dough into a mini muffin tin, ensuring the bases are flat and the edges slightly raised.
  2. Bake the crust: Bake the crusts in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Keep an eye on them; you don’t want them overbaked!
  3. Make the brownie batter: While the shells are baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Add the cocoa powder, flour, and salt, mixing until smooth.
  4. Fill the crusts: Once the crusts are ready, pour the brownie batter into each one, filling just below the top.
  5. Bake: Pop the tray back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. You want the tops to set but still be fudgy in the center.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the tarts cool in the tin for a few minutes, then gently lift them out. Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate or caramel for extra indulgence.
